If you want to get the most out of this class (or any class), you will need to engage with the material in a meaningful way. There is no substitution to hard work and preparation. Therefore, I expect you to complete all  assigned readings and materials for each module.
To assess your progress in this respect, there will be a short (timed) quiz approximately once week over the readings (and videos) assigned for each module (e.g., myths of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial mindset, etc). Most of the time, the quizzes will be five multiple-choice questions. To make things easier, and get into a rhythm, all quizzes will be due on Tuesday at 8am.
The purpose of these quizzes is to provide you with motivation to stay current with the readings and work through the assigned materials each week. The quizzes will also help me understand what is your grasp of the material.
In my experience, when students do poorly on the quizzes, it's not because the ideas are complex and difficult, but because they didn't do the readings. Entrepreneurship is not advanced calculus...most ideas are simple to understand if you put the necessary effort.
PREPARING FOR THE QUIZZES
(1) Look at the schedule of readings. Go to the topic that we will cover that day on the course webpage (e.g., for week 11 go to predictably irrational).
(2) Read through the "questions to think about while doing the readings." Most quiz questions will be directly related to these questions (e.g., what is the decoy effect?)
(3) Work through the readings and materials, taking notes, and marking the passages that seem relevant to the things you need to know.
(4) Go back to the "questions to think about while doing the readings." Can you answer these questions? If not, then repeat steps 1-4. If yes, then you can go back to watching your favorite Netflix show.
